Your quick guide to job search websites

image
Job search websites can be an effective way of finding and applying for jobs.
You can usually register for free, then set up email alerts (daily or weekly updates on the jobs that suit your requirements). You can post your CV online, too, which can make it quicker to apply for jobs through the site. Some job search websites also have “Employer” sections where prospective employers can browse candidates CVs to find the right person to fill their vacancy.
If you can’t find vacancies in the industry you want, try using Google (www.google.com) to search for relevant jobsites instead. For example, you may put in “zoo keeping, jobs, London” and see what results you get.
You can also go directly to the websites of companies you’re interested in working for and looking at their “careers” or “vacancy” pages. Some employers only post their jobs there, so they know the people that apply have proactively sought out the opportunity.
